Ishita Chauhan brings over 12 years of experience at the intersection of urban development, infrastructure, sustainability, and public policy. A Civil Engineer and Urban Planning professional, she has worked extensively on initiatives focused on sustainable mobility, climate resilience, energy transition, institutional strengthening, and inclusive urban growth.
Prior to joining PITRA, Ishita worked with leading national and international organizations, including the World Bank, the Institute of Urban Transport, and the Europe Business and Technology Centre (EBTC). Throughout her career, she has led policy research, stakeholder engagement, capacity-building programs, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks, helping governments, institutions, and development partners design and implement impactful solutions to complex urban and development challenges.
At PITRA, Ishita advises businesses, institutions, and international organizations on infrastructure, sustainability, urban development, policy engagement, and strategic partnerships. She works closely with public and private sector stakeholders to identify opportunities, build collaborative platforms, and navigate the evolving policy and regulatory landscape.
A recognized development professional and knowledge facilitator, Ishita has served as Guest Faculty at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and is a certified trainer in capacity building. She is passionate about strengthening the connection between research, policy, and implementation, fostering partnerships that support sustainable development and inclusive growth.
